What to expect when hiring a self-storage unit in Glasgow

If you’re in need of a storage solution in Glasgow’s City Centre, then look no further than GTW Storage! Situated on James Watt Street and established since 1903, you can assured that we will be here for as long as you need us.

So, if you’re moving home and have found yourself in between properties unsure what to do with the mountain of furniture that you’ve acquired over the years then keep reading and we’ll talk you through step by step, what you can expect from storing your possessions with us!

Step 1: Enquiring

The first step will usually involve you getting in touch with us via our website or over the phone to discuss your storage needs. You can use our handy storage guide on our website to estimate how much space you may need- this can be as little as 8sq ft to thousands of sq ft. From there, one of our team will provide you with a quote based on the space and length of time you need it for.

Step 2: Transporting

Now it’s time for the manual labour! If you aren’t able to do this yourself and need an extra pair of hands then we can handle all small or student removals in house. If the move is bigger than that, we are able to put you in touch with a number of our trusted, reliable partners from a “man-with-a-van” for speedy moves through to full service removal companies able to handle the pack and wrap, transport, delivery and unpacking of large households.

Step 3: Moving in

It’s move in time! For the next few weeks, months or years, you’re prized possessions will be moving in with us, but fear not, we promise to keep them safe, secure and dry throughout their stay. You will be greeted at reception by one of our team who will check you in and point you in the direction of your storage cage. P.S- don’t worry about the heavy lifting, we have a couple of loading bays at the entrance to our warehouse to allow you to unpack your car/van easily. We also have trolleys, tape measures, ladders and loads more that you can borrow on the day!

See, we told you it was pretty straight forward didn’t we?
